It seems abilities have finally been restored.

[Guess who sounds pretty apathetic about this. He's a little more animated about the second topic, however.]

Also, I missed much of the events that happened the last week or two. I heard something regarding a bomb which, presumably, didn't detonate. It would be appreciated if someone could inform me of what occurred in regards to that.

We are all restricted in a milieu such as this, isn't that so? Though, some of us more than others, certainly.

Of course. However for some beings here, a further restriction to human level is drastic, and rather than a learning experience it becomes simply unpleasant.

'Unpleasant'? [Her voice is razor sharp.] Implying that it is not the case for those of us who have no supernatural powers to wield - that it is not a daily battle to sustain ourselves or keep our loved ones safe from harm?

Of course it is. However, should you suddenly find yourself missing most of your senses, you would find it even more unpleasant. That's what it was like for many of those affected.

A person is more than hearing and sight, surely; as I do hope any of you exist beyond your wings and God's grace.

A human can exist without their soul as well, but that doesn't mean that's how they're meant to be.

Nevertheless, to mourn what cannot be undone is to face one's situation with the least chance of development.

There are very few things that can't be undone, and though accepting a permanent change is one thing, a temporary one is simply frustrating.

I suppose... that all permanent changes are desperately believed to be temporary. At first.

In my world, nearly everything can be reversed or changed, with enough will and effort. It can be a great mistake to simply give up and accept something that has occurred.

It was a statement of a possibility.

Much of those in my world are unaware that other options exist, until they refuse to accept that there is no other choice.

No matter the decisions we may or may not make, some less than desirable situations cannot be helped. Only by accepting this as a given, do we allow ourselves the possibility of progressive adaption.

Accepting a situation as unchangeable or unfixable is counterproductive to beneficial action. Adapting is not the same thing as accepting something as inevitable.

If you have not yet found yourself forced to choose between evils, you are fortunate. It can be necessary to live with the devil, if one does not wish to swim in the deep blue sea.

The devil is my older brother. I know full well how to choose between evils.

However, having bad options doesn't mean it's impossible to improve upon them, or even to create one that didn't exist before.

You shall never hear me say that improvement is impossible, but something must be accepted in its original flawed state, if we wish to better it.
